Do you have any free books?
At the moment, my only free book is 'Whatever Happened To Madeline Hail?'. It's a prequel to my debut series, The Fey Touched Trilogy, and you can download and read it for free by signing up to my newsletter. I may have other free books in the future, but this is the only one available right now.
Do you write all your books yourself, or do you hire a ghostwriter?
I write all my books myself! It's possible, in the future, that I may co-write a novel or two with some friends who are also authors, but if my name is on the cover, I write my share of the book. At the time of writing this FAQ, I don't see myself ever wanting to hire a ghostwriter. I write because I love writing, and having someone else do the part I love seems counter-intuitive to me.
Do you publish under any names other than 'Arista Holmes'?
Not at this time!
Can I join your Advanced Review Copy (ARC) team?
Maybe! While I do have a dedicated ARC team, I always try and recruit new people for each release by posting on my blog and via my social media's, so you can keep an eye out around 2 months before a schedulled release date.
If you're worried about missing my posts, you can always reach out to me via my website's contact form, or by email, and ask to be considered for an ARC of my next book.
I noticed that you review ARC's on your blog. Can you read and review mine?
It's unlikely, but the real answer is; Maybe!
I don't accept ARC's offered to me directly, I'll only consider taking on an ARC offered through Booksprout or Booksirens. If your ARC is available on either of those platforms, feel free to send me a link to your ARC Campaign, and I'll check out the cover/blurb and see if it's something I might be interested in.
I almost exclusively read fantasy or science fiction, and I don't take on many ARCs at all because it's a huge time commitment for me, and it also can't be something similar to anything I'm planning to write for myself. So feel free to reach out and ask, but keep in mind the answer is likely to be a no.
When will your books be available on Kindle Unlimited?
Unfortunately, they won't be. Amazon demands exclusivity to publish via Kindle Unlimited, and this means I wouldn't be able to offer my books anywhere else like Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Googlebooks, Applebooks, or libraries.
If you'd like to read my books via a subscription service, they are available via KoboPlus Subscription as Kobo do not require author exclusivity.
I've found an error/Typo/Mistake in one of your books, what should I do?
First I'd like to apologise! While every effort is made to ensure my books are error free, the typo-demons are ever relentless, and as such sometimes small errors still manage to slip past me and my editor. The best way to let me know about an error is to contact me either via the form on the contact page, or by sending me an email.
Please include;
- Book Title
- Whetherthe book is ebook, paperback, or hardback.
- A sample containing the error; (please include several words either side of the error exactly as they appear in the text - this helps to find it!)
Thank you!
