Seasons greetings, and happy holidays Can you believe we've only got 8 days left of 2022? How is it even December already?! How is it Xmas Eve tomorrow?! This might be the most wonderful time of the year, but it's also the busiest! So, do you wanna find out what I've been up to? Alright then, let's dig in... Since my last update... As I mentioned in my November Update, I wanted to order the covers for the Fey Touched Trilogy, and I was lucky enough to be able to do that during the Black Friday sales. Since then, I've been having frequent back and forth with my designers at Getcovers, and I should be able to share something with you soon. Between Christmas and New Year, Soon. Keep your eyes peeled! I was also able to complete the self-edits on Changeling around December 12th, and that's now been sent off to my wonderful editor, who'll be working on that later this month. The final word count for Changeling, pre-professional edit, was 109,714 words. Which means I've been officially back to working on Darkling again. No rest for the wicked! Since the beginning of December, I've also read two Advanced Reader Copies from authors I've supported since their first books. The reviews for Strange Companions by Andrew Claydon, and Of Wild and Witchcraft by Cassandra Diviak can be found on my blog. Plans for the coming month... Speaking of Arc Reviews, I have another couple coming up! Lux by Rae Else and Shut Up and Write The Book by Jenna Moreci. Rae Else is another author who I've been Arc Reading for since the beginning of her Dark Between series, and it just so happened that she, Andrew Claydon, and Cassandra Diviak all decided to release their next books this month. And I very much didn't want to let any of them down! After reviewing Jenna Moreci's new book, I'll be taking a break from ARCs in the new year. Apart from sending out my own, that is. I'll be posting on my socials looking for Arc Readers around January, so if you'd be interested in reviewing an early copy of Changeling, keep your eyes peeled in early 2023! And I think that's everything. Keep writing Darkling. Wait to hear back from my Editor. Format my Arcs, and find some Arc Reviewers. And just enjoy my Christmas and New year. I hope that, whatever you're celebrating, this season is good to you. Enjoy ringing in the new year, and have a swig of your favourite drink on me. *Sips her Coffee* Want to see more?
