How Do Your Writing Exercises Work? Essentially, I go to a “Single Word Prompt Generator” and have it throw a random word at me. Then I go to Unsplash.com and use that word to search their database of images, and scroll through for something that catches my attention. This may be something where I simply want to describe what’s in the image, or maybe it sparks a small story nugget in my brain. Regardless, I then take the picture and post it here, with credit, and proceed to write for 15 minutes. Whatever I produce, I share with you lovely people. Unedited. Typos are to be expected. Word Prompt: Cabin The sound of the birds, the sight of wild rabbits, the feel of warm sun rays casting light through the ancient boughs and bringing life into the cabin. All of it was an inspiration for my work. As ink became splashed across the page, I crafted worlds and people and creatures of pure imagination. Inspired by every breath of wind through the leaves, and every dawn chorus a soundtrack for my mind to draw from, my isolation allowing me to sink deep into my creations and immerse myself in my worlds. From the tiniest creatures, like the frog that devoured the insect, to the world shaking storms that tore tree’s from their roots, I found beauty, devastation, and inspiration in the natural world around me and I incorporated it all within my tale. #Writing #Original #Writing Exercise #Ari Writes #Arista Writes
